Upcoming Klezmer events in Scotland

*Thursday, 25th July ~ 8.00 – 10.30pm*
Universal Hall, Findhorn, Forres.
Pay on the door £8 £6 concessions.
Here is some info about Michael.

Michael Alpert will be at the Festival for the Thursday & Friday nights.
If you are at all familiar with Klezmer music you will know how
wonderful this is. He is the lead singer for Brave Old World, and one of
the main researchers of Yiddish songs responsible for keeping this music
alive in the past decades.
(By coincidence there was a short radio story today on All Things
Considered (US national public radio) featuring him so I include the
link for all of you:

If you can make this event either the Thursday evening or the whole week

*SCOTLAND, Forres,    Week of 20th ~ 26th July*
The Findhorn Foundation (Forres, N E Scotland)
Erik Bendix is teaching the Klezmer workshops in the Festival of Sacred
Dance, Music and Song Week.  It will be very interesting and
wide-ranging week.  It would appear Erik will be covering a real range
of klezmer dances.  Andrew Gardiner (clarinet), Adrian Dobson
(accordion) and Simon Carlyle (tuba) ~ all from *The Klatsh* ~ have been
asked by Erik to play for his workshops.
